How it takes part

Where this organization takes part.

In the organization's own words

Composta+ is a Brazilian company dedicated to the recovery of organic waste through thermophilic composting — a process that uses high temperatures and naturally occurring soil microorganisms to transform waste into high-quality organic fertilizer. The company serves households, restaurants, businesses, and industries, providing an end-to-end collection and treatment solution that diverts organic waste from landfills and dumps. With over 10,600 tons composted and a community of more than 650 households and 650 businesses served, Composta+ is a reference in circular economy and sustainable waste management in Brazil. Backed by FINEP and BNDES, the company is committed to innovation and sustainable technology. The natural compost produced, rich in carbon and nitrogen, returns to the soil as organic fertilizer, closing the loop and creating value where there was once only disposal.

About these figures

What these figures state.

What is measured, calculated and recorded

The material's mass is measured on each MassID.

The emissions reduced by preventing methane are calculated from that mass, under the applicable methodology. They are never estimated.

The counts come from records whose audit passed and that were not cancelled.

A figure that has not been measured shows as a dash, never as a zero.

Roles show as declared: an accredited role that has not published a measurement yet stays visible.

Methodology

What happens on the network is audited.

Every public record in the Carrot network rests on a published methodology and an independent audit.
