From material to credit.

The credit begins with measured material and an auditable chain of custody. The methodology defines how that evidence becomes a verified climate result.

    MassIDs record the source, mass and public chain of custody for biowaste.

  2. 02

    Treat the biowaste

    An accredited facility composts the organic material instead of sending it to landfill.

  3. 03

    Verify the reduction

    The BOLD Carbon (CH₄) rules are applied to the evidence to calculate the emissions difference against the landfill baseline.

  4. 04

    Record the result

    A GasID records the verified result in metric tons of CO₂e reduced.

  5. 05

    Issue the credit

    C-CARB.CH4 is issued in the amount supported by the verified GasID.
